The room is rendered substantially free of contaminants, such as those responsible for Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS), Norwalk virus, and unpleasant odors.

SOLUTION: This disinfectant for coronavirus comprises 0.02-0.2 mass% content of hinokitiol being an active ingredient. Preferably, the disinfectant comprises at least one kind selected from the group consisting of an aloe extract, a green tea extract, an extract of Sasa albomarginata and an extract of Houttuynia cordata. A solvent is preferably water. The disinfectant is sprayed on a hut or a living room contaminated with the coronavirus by residence of an animal infected with the coronavirus or sprayed or applied to contaminated clothes to prevent infection expansion.
