The present invention refers to a method for reducing heavy end formation and catalyst loss in a continuous hydroformylation process, where an olefin or an olefin mixture is reacted with carbon monoxide and hydrogen in a reactor assembly (1) in the presence of a rhodium complex catalyst, comprising at least one organobisphosphite ligand, in order to produce an aldehyde. Said method comprising the addition of an epoxide to the reaction mixture and the continuous or discontinuous removal of early heavy ends.

La présente invention concerne un procédé pour réduire la formation d'extrémité lourde et la perte de catalyseur dans un procédé d'hydroformylation continue, où une oléfine ou un mélange d'oléfines est mis à réagir avec du monoxyde de carbone et de l'hydrogène dans un ensemble réacteur (1) en présence d'un catalyseur complexe de rhodium, comprenant au moins un ligand organobisphosphite, afin de produire un aldéhyde. Ledit procédé comprend l'ajout d'un époxyde au mélange réactionnel et l'élimination continue ou discontinue d'extrémités lourdes précoces.
