A plurality of pixels each include: a light receiving element (100) that generates an electric charge corresponding to received light; a pixel circuit (11) that outputs an analog signal corresponding to the electric charge generated by the light receiving element; and a conversion circuit (12) that converts the analog signal outputted from the pixel circuit into a digital signal on the basis of a reference signal the voltage of which changes stepwise. A generation unit (5) generates, as the reference signals, a first reference signal for being supplied to a first pixel among the plurality of pixels, and a second reference signal for being supplied to a second pixel, which is different from the first pixel, among the plurality of pixels. The first reference signal is supplied to the first pixel among the plurality of pixels through a first wiring (1031a), and the second reference signal is supplied to the second pixel, which is different from the first pixel, among the plurality of pixels through a second wiring (1031b).
